Evelkah Powell
Managing Director
Evelkah has extensive experience in recruitment, inclusion and culture. Her vision and passion is to create accessible education and programmes that is both intentional and empowering on issues of culture. Originally from the beautiful Caribbean Island of Anguilla, Evelkah has had her own defining experiences as a person of colour. Cohesia Connect has been both her answer and offering to that. With its bridge building framework and mindfulness approach, she is proud to have founded an organisation that will join the larger initiative behind the mission of inclusivity.
Carla Adebekun
Programme Director
Carla is an experienced Educator with a passion for creating space for the unique voices within the different cultural spaces. During her teaching career she focused on utilising her academic delivery to create inclusive learning environments. She is delighted to be part of building Cohesia Connect’s objective in using education and enrichment programmes to champion understanding and impact through positive and inclusive environments. She is also working on her first book – a contribution to the narrative space of those from mixed ethnic backgrounds.
